Financial Analyst

Job Description

 

The Financial Analyst position at GCG provides a unique opportunity to (i) make immediate contributions as a key team player, and (ii) become a recognized expert in an industry on a timeline dictated primarily by your own efforts and achievement.  Candidates should have excellent analytical skills, an acute attention to detail, and a desire for promotional opportunities directly related to personal performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis, including detailed spreadsheet work
  • Research and data collection and analysis
  • Preparation and review of reports and other documents
  • Meetings and coordination with clients and project teams
  • Learning from, and providing support to, GCG principals

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with an emphasis in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Accounting
  • Expertise in Excel and Word; proficiency in Power Point
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail

Internal Auditor

Job Description

 

The Internal Auditor (IA) will help to maintain GCG’s reputation for high-quality work product by reviewing reports, databases, tax levies, and financial analyses and providing feedback to GCG associates and principals.  The IA will be provided with training and background on the industry, the processes, and the quantitative approaches of which an understanding is necessary to provide the required reviews.  Candidates should possess an exceptional attention to detail, take pride in their work, bring successful experience with similar employment, and be familiar with basic financial and accounting concepts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality control in GCG work products
  • Review reports, spreadsheets, and databases for accuracy
  • Review findings with project managers and associates
  • Work with project managers and associates to develop and refine quality control procedures

Requirements

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Record of reliability and commitment to job
  • College degree in finance, accounting, business, or similar area of study
  • Minimum of five years professional work experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
